Endurance – The Ticket to Flow States!

What I am is someone whose realized in my teen years that we are nature and nature is pretty much perfect in its desire to equip us with everything we need to live an integral and robust life.

This means that encoded in every strand of DNA in our bodies is the instructions that remind “The Force” that is who we really are how to behave. How to not only regenerate but to generate tissues and structures that are better than what has existed before. Some would call this evolution. I call it Creation. We are the creators of our realities including our bodies and all the challenges it may seem to not enjoy. Owning this fact gives us the power to pull forces of intelligence, bravery, and fortitude to overcome far more than we’ve been told we are capable of.

The 860,000 human powered miles I’ve “Land Surfed” so far, have been a wonderful laboratory to self reflect upon what the human DNA contains and what the beyond human spirit can do.

My quite ordinary body and mind have been destroyed millions of times only to come back more refined and capable than it was before each adventure through a living death. To some, I appear Super Human in what I can do. There are elements to each of us that are actually Super Human. In taking this journey deeper into my experiences with myself and those I’ve helped along the way, my objective with you as with everyone I’ve ever worked with is and will be to show you your own Super Powers. Not to glorify mine. Mine are for me. One of my Super Powers is that I’m a great reflector of others powers they have forgotten or even never realized they have. So what I write here will serve as a reminder to remember what you have forgotten or was buried by your emersion into this lifetime of trying to be a good human.

We are all just here to walk or run each other back home….


Based on the understanding that language is the fundamental building block of our entire reality, Quantum Languaging is a new communication paradigm that extends beyond words’ simple dictionary definitions, and takes into account their energetic frequencies that invisibly connect all of us all the time whether we understand them or not intellectually, and the effects those frequencies have on the person I am addressing. Speaking to what lives in both of us innately or indigenously allows instant and deep understanding of what seems like complex topic when speaking to only surface level intellect.

This difference vastly accelerates ones ability to correctly and holistically understand and “innerstand” similar to having experience it for themselves – in regard to rapid learning for the purpose of fully owning a challenge.

Quantum Flow State

Quantum Flow State is mind, body and spirit dance in oneness.

As toddlers, we first learn to walk then to run, once we mastered standing and walking, almost like magic, we leaned forwards and as we fell in that direction, a foot left the ground and came back down to the ground almost directly under our hip joints based on our entire bodies direction of fall. As our body, mind and spirit synthesis detected momentum that went beyond a single step, the second foot automatically left from the ground to do what the other had just done. As this pattern continued we literally fell into a creative leaning from the ankles fall while being saved from the potential face plant by each now automatic foot landing catching us and serving as a balancing point for all of our forward moving mass to “flow” over our “center of mass” (the pelvis or hip joints) to become like water flowing across the land. This process is what I call “Land Surfing”

Just as the surfer on water has to use his or her body in a very specific pattern using flexed joints, springy muscles, balance centered in the hips or pelvis, to create both momentum and flow so it is for us Land Surfers. The activities look somewhat different but the energies and biomechanics at play over lap.

Our original Innate – Indigenous running form comes out of the same intelligence that is in charge of the trillions of chemical transactions that have been going on every minute since your conception to this moment without any real conscious thought on your part. Your ability to focus your eyes, distinguish sounds, balance in your chair without falling over out of it onto your ear, digesting the food in your stomach, breathing, maintaining your blood pressure, keeping track of the salinity of your entire inner water world. This intelligence is the real you.

When we allow the acquired mind (The Ego) to try to reorganize such complex systems, we always experience a biological, biomechanical, psychological, train wreck of experience.

What I can do for you is to decolonize or reindigonize any areas of your running biomechanics so the symptoms of deviation from what is ideal go away and require no traditional methods of interference to mute the symptoms ever again. (Unless you want that experience back! Which I don’t think you will want and if you did, you would have the insights to self correct – realign with your Truest Self for instant course corrections.

Original Barefoot Running Form vs Shoe – Blind Sole Adapted Running Form

As little children we were graceful, very low impact foot landings, our sense of balance was perfectly centered, breathing without effort whatever quantities of air in and carbon dioxide out was appropriate for the effort.

We used our entire body from the ankles of up as a forward deadfall of which we caught our falling forward motion with an almost bicycle pedal stroke kind of use of of our feet, legs and hips only without folding at the hips one does bent over a drop handlebar equipped bicycle.

We used gravity for propulsion and stored the landing momentum of our entire body mass in the automatic and perfectly tensioned ligaments and muscles in charge of making each step flow like water and wasting as little energy as possible – actually recycling energy like a wheel in motion that wants to stay in motion – Newtons Third Law

This beginning of foot deformation from wearing shoes not shaped like natural feet

The above image speaks lightly of the effects of modern day shoes upon human feet that haven’t fully calcified until roughly 18 yrs of age. Imagine binding your hands to where your finger bones wear curled under bone by bone from the first joint at the palm to their tips. And the only position they could exist in is bunched together. You can’t even find the brain impulse to spread them apart! And your wrist only has about 2-4 degrees of range of motion because the wrist ligaments are so rigid. Oh and you can’t curl your fingers or your thumb to grasp anything! Your feet used to have all the same capabilities as your hands! They were meant to be that way.

Growing up without shoes in a natural environment, humans naturally land on the balls of the foot when running activating the shin muscles to pull all the toes skywards to make the ball of the foot about as firm as tennis ball to soften the foots landing and prepare the flexed arch, achilles, calf, knee, quadriceps on up the biomechanics chain for sensing millisecond level responsiveness at the ground contact area for exactly how to create stability for the entire body from the ground up. That’s what spread, springy, feeling everything toes and metatarsals or mid soles do in a healthy context.

Each foot perspires about a pint of sweat a day naturally. Instead of allowing that to naturally evaporate into the air as we walk, run, climb, we put our feet in practically plastic bags called shoes and socks (few are even made of organic materials anymore!) and then go get fungicide powders and sprays to control the rotting skin – fungus – mold that naturally is produced with a lack of sunlight and ventilation. Would you wear the same underwear or under garments for months and years on end if you. knew your body was sweating pints of urine (that’s what sweat is you know! and if your eating a meat based diet your leaking other animals urine through your skin also in the form of uric acid! That’s where that ammonia smell comes from if you don’t wash your cloths almost daily) (BTW: That doesn’t happen on primarily raw fruit centered diet)

Looking at the consequences of long term wearing of shoes, of which almost 100% of shoe wearing humanity including foot, knee, hip and spinal doctors have almost zero consciousness about we begin to see why so many people are having spinal fusions, artificial disc replacements, knee and hip replacements.

Millions are so damaged by all this, they end up requiring external metal walkers if they can still shuffle along for a few feet or so or 3 to 4 wheeled electric chairs – scooters!

Every time I see someone heel striking, limping due to chronic foot, ankle, knee, hip or back pain I have to tell my mind to calm itself down at my knowing that those who profit from this victimization of the public would like to burn me at the stake for speaking out about this pervasive crime against humanity.

Back to Dysfunctional Biomechanics 101:

In landing on ones heels, all of ones forward momentum (which is not just ones body weight, but ones body weight multiplied by the speed of ones forwards momentum) is slammed into the delicate joint materials of the ankle, knee and hip – smashing the joint coatings with every step.

This is why most children who have had their feet in shoes for more than a few months begins to hound their parents towards buying them something with wheels!

Running and walking feels awful as the loss of sensory feedback through their soles and the surface of their foots skin has driven them to resort to modifying what sustainably and comfortably worked is modified to become the awkward gait patterns of the unconsciously dysfunctional adults and most kids on down to their age around them.

They desperately want mobility without pain and a ridiculous amount of effort. Remember heel striking = braking + loss of momentum + the need to reaccelerate on every single step!

It also results in the stiff legged shoving of ones entire body mass into the sky with each heel landing and the momentum of the torso acting like the pole vaulter holding onto the top of the pole as “The Heel” which is the equivalent to the bottom end of the pole daughters pole is planted in “the Pit” carrying him or her up and over the bar however high it is set to.

So instead of all of ones energy and momentum producing forward flow, most of it’s being used to do a pogo stick like activity that brings the entire bodies forward momentum to a pogo stick like slow down with each step as the entire body mass is launched into the sky in an attempt to regain lost momentum. Ask any high level runner whose grown up in commercial running shoes and has no barefoot experience how it feels to have all the supposed best technology money can buy but to be routinely dropped at between 12 and 17 miles into a 26.2 mile marathon including African runners who grew up running without shoes what caused their loss of ability to stay with the front runners? They will scratch their heads and scrub their shoulders or give you some BS story about not enough or too much of something they did wrong or “they are African!”

I share all the above because I meet and hear from so many that have abandoned their original love of running as a natural form of life play that keeps us fit and exuding a meditative like calm or peace both during and afterwards for hours on end.

What’s Your DNA Say About How You Live and How You Will Die?

Most of what I’d heard about genes up to about 4 months ago is that pharmacology had begun exploiting DNA to create Frankenstein like monster foods containing insecticides and other nefarious modifications that have already proven to not be good for any animals that consumed them.

The other big genetics horror story that’s stuck in so many minds is the introduction of synthetic gene snips injected into humans and possibly other animals for the purposes of modifying what kinds of proteins the cells put out in an attempt to create artificial triggers with the immune system to preprime if for supposed threats going around.

What I’m about to begin to share with you involves no gene or DNA manipulation and is essentially based on Natural Laws or Nature instead of some manipulative agenda.

Think of how the foods you eat, ultimately must be broken down and reconfigured into organic chains of molecules that are essentially sentences of information or ingredients needed for the DNA or part of the DNA to build whatever your body needs.

The genetics I’m about to go into with you here is all about foods. Specifically identifying foods and plant extracts that might be missing or not being absorbed on consumption for various genetic anomaly reasons.

What I’m going to draw out here is the very cutting edge of functional genomics whereby one can order, receive and submit a mouth swab of your own DNA to a company called Uforia Science where your personal information as in name, address, phone and any other identifiers are removed and and the sample is sent to a HIPPA compliant lab.

Meaning they are held to the same standards of privacy as all medical labs) with their only client identifier being a computer generated random numerical code as to who the analysis will be relevant to upon return to Uforia Science.

The lab would do a complete analysis of the DNA supplied, looking for what in genetics circles is referred to as “Actionable Variants or SNP’s” (SNP’s is short for Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms) which may indicate something unusual in the way that bit of genetic coding connects to or needs to communicate or deliver its “Information Payload” to whatever parts of a cell, cells, organs or systems.

This sounds tiny and inconsequential, however when you consider every cell in your body has millions of complete copies of all of your genes the effect of just one variant or SNP multiplied is self evident in family trees and as we roll off the years of our lives and if fortunate, choose to take a look at inherited health and degenerate to debilitating health anomalies that show up in ones gene pool.

I thought that being plant based for many decades and being persistent in my pursuit of high levels of fitness gave me a leg up so to speak on the patterns I saw manifesting in my own family tree over the years.

I was recently exposed to the opportunity to have my own DNA analyzed and a formal 35 page outline of the results sent to me.

To my surprise, the report illustrated more than a hand full of RED FlAGS that meant I had inherited traits from both parents in the same SNP area that warranted special nutritional support in the way of targeted plant extracts in precise amounts to supply the flagged variants with what they actually needed to establish or build connectivity or bridges to the cells, organs and systems starved of the information payload they were born or created to deliver as an essential role in the optimization of my overall health.

The optimization of my overall health has been an intentionally targeted essential value and activity for me since I was about 6-7 yrs old and lost my grandfather to a heart attack. I was very close with him and being so little, my parents decided it would not be good for me to even go to his funeral and I was left at my grandmothers house with others deemed too young to process death.

Fortunately I never gave up on being extremely curious and got an aunt to explain to me what death from a heart attack meant. Once she explained that a pipe or valve in his heart had gotten plugged up from fatty plaque because he both smoked cigars and ate stuff not good for him (greasy fried foods combined with complex carbs with more grease added to them with deserts of sugar and more greases – butter – lard- oils. All I knew is I hurt so bad inside that I vowed I would never do such a thing to myself and I’d take better care of myself.

From then on I pretty much ran or rode something human powered wherever I wanted or needed to go around the town I grew up in. At that stage I sought wild fruits, nuts and greens to munch on and any trees, bushes, vines or gardens I could get access to with offers of caretaking them.

Having no real understanding of what nutrients or amounts of nutrients my body needed to grow and regenerate itself I still ate whatever I felt I had to at home to get enough of what was offered in me to not become an absolute skeleton. To illustrate how that went, I didn’t break 100lbs in body weight until I was half way through high school!

It was before high school, at age 13 that I came down with appendicitis; death impending pain in the lower right abdominal area, throwing up violently, passing out upon attempting to walk to my mom’s room seeking help.

After the surgeon removed my appendix and I came out from under anesthesia, he informed me that he had found a piece of decaying cooked meat from my appendix upon removal that still had a slight odor of BBQ sauce! He asked how long ago had I eaten such a thing? I told him it would have been the 4th of July! Which was almost 3 weeks prior to getting taken out by the purification and the resulting inflammation and run amuck infection. He told me his specialty was lung surgery however there was no other surgeons available when I came in so he took care of what needed to be done. He also informed me that we humans are not ideally suited to optimally digest and remove animal flesh before it becomes a strong liability in our guts. That’s all I got from him. I laid there pondering what all that meant for a few days.

After release and eventually getting the stitches out and being told no real activity for at least 3 months, I got on my 1 speed banana seat bike and rode the 2 miles each way to the city library to begin my research on human anatomy and nutrition.

My research led me to realize that humans really aren’t anatomically set up the way true carnivores are for processing other animals body parts for food. Some key points: All true carnivores produce much stronger doses of hydrochloric acid to both neutralize e-coli and salmonella and to properly digest raw skin, hair, teeth, bones, muscle, connective tissues along with whatever the killed animal had as contents of its stomach (As a plant sourced buffer for the highly acidic meal ingested to prevent the carnivore from having to use its own bone and teeth calcium to buffer the acidification of its own bloodstream! I learned later on that all true carnivores have night vision and not color vision, and snouts with ripping teeth to be able to insert their mouthes inside a downed animal and rip out of its nutrient rich guts while being able to scan all around for other predators that might ambush them from behind or the sides. Whereas humans have relatively flat faces and would be totally exposed from all direction never mind we would not willingly put our faces into the bowels of a downed animal to gorge on its leaking bowels little less take down such a hypothetical animal without the use of technologies beyond what we are born with. One other mention: True Carnivores have very short digestive tracts to rapidly exit the animal bits they chomp down to prevent the purification that almost killed me. Even large carnivores like 800 lb bears or 500+ lb lions have about 8 ft of intestines while adult humans have 25-30 ft of intestines!

I could find nothing on what foods we were designed for ideally. All I knew was that my aunt told me that fruits, veggies, greens, nuts and seeds are “Health Foods”.

Thus I began to really pull back on my consumption of all forms of animal parts, fluids and secretions and little did I realize that calories in relation to carb to fat to protein ratios were really important.

I struggled with trying to live on a vegan diet calorically until I figured out that rice, potatoes, pasta and bread could supply more carbs and a bit more protein. Trying to eat fruits, veggies, starches and proteins in the same meal created another chain of problems that took a few years for me to find enough information to sort that all out. (Humans are the only species that believes its ok to eat multiple food choices in one meal. The body can only optimally digest one type of food at a time. We are also the only species that believes we must apply fire or heat or give a fever to what we consider to be food for it to be safe to eat and or digestible! Add in the belief that its natural and appropriate to add plants or plant extracts and minerals to said cookery to camouflage the repulsive or bland taste of said chosen cooked items to convince the tongue it should even allow the offensive selection past to the throat for swallowing.

All these clues or design variances helped me understand that humans seem to suffer from some kind of Indigenous or Species Specific Food Choice Amnesia.

Many years later as I studied anthropology or species design further I came to realize that humans are systemically more like gorillas, bonobo chimpanzees, and orangutans than lions, tigers, or even bears. Further research revealed that our primate cousins thrive on roughly an 80-10-10 ratio of calories from plant sources of carbohydrates – mainly fruits, proteins: some nuts and seeds, and fats: nuts – seeds and if enough fruits were available all of these nutrient categories could come all from fruits alone.

So I transitioned from mostly cooked plant based to fully raw for a year or so and saw every system in my body improve further towards my genetic potential but availability of organic, peak ripeness produce proved to be difficulty every where I’ve lived in the USA. Southern California has definitely proven to be the least like a Living Food desert compared to the rest of the US but I still find it today as spotty to awkward in quality produce. Thus I scaled back to eating raw until late afternoon then having rice, potatoes, gluten free, cheese free pizza or something like that. Warm oatmeal or hot fresh rice with either cane sugar or molasses on cold mornings happens sometimes too.

Now, I had to cover the above aspect of my diet to illustrate that along with my now over 860,000 human powered endurance and speed training – racing cycling – running lifetime, I’ve learned a ton about optimization of the human engine in the realms of fueling, fitness, recovery or regeneration.

There is much more I could add in here in the way of almost life ending events I could add in here that I’ve had to both be grateful for the level of fitness and fueling I had banked into cellular memory before they happened that contributed to my even still being here to share all this with you but I don’t want this one post to become my entire life story. We’ll post on those other events or experiences another time.

In relation to DNA and any liabilities we can inherit from our parents, as mentioned my analysis results breakout report clearly identified lots of red flags and tons of yellow or cautionary flags that if not supported with specific plant extracts could and in some areas had already begun to manifest symptoms that I had never made public to anyone before that I was frankly stumped and frustrated in trying to get on top of.

Understand that I am not a doctor nor have any kind of PhD or anything like that. I’m sharing my own personal experiences and research. I personally do not believe in drugs for anything outside of surgical situations or other immediate life threatening events requiring an ER visit.

I do see that the human body has the innate ability to heal and balance itself if given the right combinations of organically created foods and even food extracts as long as the body still recognizes them as organically readable as organically sequenced chains of potential nutrients the body is in search of or needing for it metabolic processes including its constant regeneration, glucose or raw energy production and delivery, detoxification system responsiveness, etc.

Our bodies are made out of food and not drugs, not rocks, not manufactured chemicals. Only the body can heal. No food nor drug can heal. Only food – species optimized foods and food extracts can supply what the body seeks to take us towards optimal health instead of only superficially asymptomatic but actually pervasively in starvation, turning off and powering down essential systems and backing up in toxicity amongst the trillions of cells our bodies are made of.

OK, the above was all to lay the foundation for the next level of understanding one must have to begin to illuminate in any kind of practical manner how DNA variants or SNP’s are NOT liabilities or definite health crisis looming but are in fact merely mass distributed packets of essential information various cells, system and organs in your body needs the information payload from to sustain your original vitality – in genetics we think of it as our “Health-Span” which is different from our “Life-Span”.

Despite the improvements in somewhat safe food supplies, somewhat palatable water supplies and better hygiene in relation to no longer dumping human feces and urine out the window which contained rotting animal corps and high levels of uric acid in the urine we now have flush toilets and tap water instead of wells just below the surface of our homes foundations.

As we can look around and see on our glorious TV’s , medicine has made almost no real advances in the elimination of diseases. Symptom suppression resulting in sub health conditions re-expressing in ever more bizarre and profitable patterns has become the global norm now.

From a lifetime learning how to build health so I would not have to fight disease and having been around 100’s of thousands of high level athletes other than myself it’s very self evident that building health is a much better strategy than living barely above symptom outbreaks.

I get it that the giants of pharmaceutical industry have hijacked the minds of the masses, the media and the politicians.

It’s time a much older and truer approach to health be brought back to the forefront of our lives. It’s called Building Health instead of just fighting the symptoms of disease.

There are tons of companies out there that offer various ranges of DNA analysis for various prices. The creeping neuropathy that I’ve fought since my teen years (more on why it began in my teen years in another post), creeping up blood pressure, aging skin, gut inflammation despite lot body fat, vision degeneration and ringing in the ears, are almost completely gone. It’s December 22nd at the time of this writing.

Understand that these products did not cure any of this. My body did! It just needed the right raw materials to do so. Nothing we can introduce from the outside of the body can cure anything. Otherwise those substances could be given to a dead body and they would reanimate it or eliminate the less than optimal condition.

Only the innate intelligence that governs the trillions of biological transactions going on from the day we are conceived or actually long before that for the human egg (all the way back to ones grandmother) and upon sperm cell maturity in the male, knows what’s required to heal and balance the body.

The above in Chinese Medicine is referred to as The Philosophy of Regeneration. There is much more to this insight to the bodies powers and potential and perhaps that will be for a future post also.
